Privacy policy

Last updated 8 October 2026

This is a plain-language policy written to follow the Nigeria Data Protection Act 2023 (NDPA). It is being reviewed by a lawyer and may be updated.

Who we are

IkokoHub is run by Ikoko Hub, a business name registered with the Corporate Affairs Commission (CAC) (BN 9932731), at 7, God First Building, Yoruba Road, Phase 2 Challenge, Ilorin, Kwara State, Nigeria.

IkokoHub provides software for restaurants and caterers in Nigeria. For the information you send us through this website, IkokoHub is the data controller. For the sales, customers and staff records a restaurant keeps inside IkokoHub, the restaurant is the controller and IkokoHub acts as its processor.

What we collect on this website

  • What you type into our forms: business name, your name, phone number, email (optional), state, city or LGA, the plan and domain you want, how you heard about us, and an agent code if you have one.
  • Technical data when you submit a form: your IP address and browser type, used to prevent spam and abuse.
  • A small cookie that remembers an agent code from a referral link, for up to 30 days, so the right agent is linked to your sign-up.

Why we use it, and our lawful basis

  • To reply to your enquiry and set up your account. Basis: you asked us to, and steps taken at your request before a contract.
  • To keep the website secure and prevent spam. Basis: our legitimate interest.
  • To contact you about IkokoHub. Basis: your consent, which you can withdraw at any time.

We collect only what we need for these purposes.

Who we share it with

If an agent referred you, we share your sign-up details with that agent so they can help you. We use service providers for hosting, domains, messaging and email who only act on our instructions. We do not sell personal data.

How long we keep it

Enquiries that do not become customers are deleted after 12 months. Customer account records are kept for as long as you are a customer, and afterwards as the law requires.

Your rights

Under the NDPA you can ask to see your data, correct it, delete it, object to how we use it, or withdraw consent. Email us and we will respond within a reasonable time. You may also complain to the Nigeria Data Protection Commission.

Security

Our website uses SSL and our systems restrict access to people who need it. No system is perfectly secure, so tell us at once if you think your data is at risk.
